Job Spec
We were asked to collect and shred 150 sacks of confidential waste paperwork for our Client FCS Cleaning who provide a contract cleaning, waste collection and facilities management service. This confidential clearance was for one of their clients, a housing association based in Redhill, Surrey.
Obstacles
The sheer volume of paper at the premises filled an entire room and posed a significant fire risk to the building and had to be cleared the same week and as soon as possible!
Solution
Identity Destruction Ltd responded within in 48 hours and sent two vans to collect the confidential waste paperwork weighing over 2 tonnes and bring back to our CCTV managed shredding facility for destruction.
Outcome
The 150 sacks of confidential paperwork were cross shredded at our secure shredding facility and the paper compacted into 600 kg paper bales to be made ready recycling at a UK tissue recycling mill. These 2 tonnes of shredded paperwork were fully recycled to make over 8000 toilet rolls!
