Are you a Certified shredding company?
Yes, Identity Destruction is fully accredited as a security shredding company and Certified to BSEN:15713.
Can you shred staples and paperclips?
Yes, our powerful Shredinators can accept staples & paperclips and can munch through books, brochures, catalogues, cheque book stubs, manila folders and even lever arch files!
Do I get a Certificate of Destruction?
Yes, whether you are a house holder or business, we email a Certificate of Destruction for your GDPR records the day after shredding for complete peace of mind.
Do you recycle the shredded material?
Here at Identity Destruction, our blood is almost green in colour as recycling runs through our veins! We fully recycle all shredded paper and this gets sent off to the tissue mills to be made back into new tissue products such as toilet paper & kitchen roll!
Can you accept lever arch files?
Yes we certainly can and our powerful Shredinators shred lever arch files whole, in a matter of seconds!
Can you accept plastic wallets?
We encourage to keep plastic wallets to an absolute minimum as we fully recycle all the cross shredded paper.
Is there a time limit to have my sacks collected?
No, not at all and we do not impose a time limit to have your sacks collected and you can take as long or as short a time period as you need. Once the sacks are full, we will collect and shred them pronto!
Do you supply a Certificate of Destruction?
We absolutely do as this is emailed as a PDF the following working day after collection & shredding for your GDPR compliancy.
Do I need to book an appointment?
Not at all... our shred as you wait branches are open Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. and the last shred is at 4:30 p.m.
Can I include staples and paperclips within my paperwork?
Yes you can indeed and we can also accept spiral A4 notepads with metal spirals and lever arch files too!
Do I need to remove the hard drives from my PC/laptop before I arrive?
No not al all as our trained staff have the correct tools to remove the hard drive for you when you arrive.
Do I receive proof of shredding?
Yes indeed, we email a Certificate of Destruction for your peace of mind and for your GDPR records.
Do I need to remove the hard drive from my old PC or laptop?
No, not at all as our trained staff have the right tools to carefully remove the internal hard drive for you and then shred the hard drive into tiny shards of metal!
Once you have removed and shredded the internal hard drives, what do you do with the old computers?
We fully recycle your redundant PC tower and laptop carcasses as part of the service at no extra cost!
Is there a contract period for the console service?
Yes, the consoles are provided on a 12-month contract agreement.
Is there a cost for the provision of the consoles?
No, our stylish consoles are provided for the duration of the 12-month period at no additional rental charge.
Can we have more than one console?
We are able to supply as many lockable consoles to your specific workplace requirement.
Can we have a mixture of colours and console sizes?
Yes, indeed! We can provide a mixture of either beech, white or grey consoles in either the standard or junior sizes to suit the aesthetics of your office.
My archive boxes contain many lever arch files. Can you shred lever arch files or does the paperwork need to be removed?
Our powerful industrial shredders are able to shred lever arch files whole and therefore you are not required to remove paperwork from them.
Can you shred plastic wallets or do I need to remove the paperwork from them?
We try to keep plastic wallets to a bare minimum as recycle all the shredded paper and the paper mills do not tolerate more than 5% plastic. If you have a greater percentage of 5% plastic wallets in your archive boxes, there will be an additional sorting charge applicable and please contact us in the office to discuss.
Do our archive boxes need to be on a ground level for pick up?
We do require archive boxes to be on ground lever and within easy vehicle access. However if this is not possible, we are able to collect from a basement or 1st/2nd floor etc and there would be an additional cost applicable and please contact us in the office to discuss.
What happen to the old archive boxes?
After we have emptied and shredded the confidential paperwork from your archive boxes, the boxes are baled and sent off to be fully recycled.
